Carried Away

Last night I drifted down to the docks
昨夜我順著波流飄到了一座碼頭邊
The water... glittering and black.
我看見湖水倒映在月色下泛起波光
The snow fell lightly and disappeared.
雪花輕輕灑落在湖面
I felt the old ropes grow slack.
那些岸邊的纖繩也是如此老舊
I thought I'd dissolve when the beacon revolved.
我其實是想趁著警示燈還沒亮前悄悄沉入水底
I just get so carried - - away.
我好像想的有點走神了
Once I had a ship, yes I had a map
我曾經有一艘船也有一張地圖
I had the wind like a tree has sap
也曾等到了那個萬無一失的機會
I sank into these banks of clay
但我卻還是意外陷入了泥濘的堤壩
I just get carried so - - -
我可能說的有點遠了
Those rooms were freezing and always dark but where we were never mattered
那些房子看起來陰冷漆暗但我們好像從來也不在乎這些
Your head was golden
你曾有一個金色的頭
There was lightning in your arms and then the glass shattered.
閃閃發光的玻璃胳膊
It was noon at midnite.
我還記得那一天是凌晨的一個正午
The day that never ends -
而那一天也從未結束
The lamp it whispers and makes amends - everything was more than I took it for.
連燈影也在悄悄低語懺悔而這一切好像都超出了我的認知
I just get carried so carry carry away.
