Normalcy

Watched on by the moon and sky
Forgive all my failures
Slap a cool rag on my eyes
Try to forget they hurt
If I beat this last door down
Ill get to the meadow
On my knees and kiss the ground
Every stony pebble

I wish it, I wish it against all my better judgement
For all good spirits to come to me
So that maybe just maybe theyll give me their forbidden knowledge
