Once upon a time at the foot of a great mountain,很久很久以前，在大山腳下，
there was a town where the people known as Happyfolk lived,有一個小鎮，住在那裡的居民被稱為“快樂居民”，
their very existence a mystery to the rest of the world,他們特別的存在對別處的世界來說是個謎，

they only saw shadows.他們能看到的只有暗影。

without the Truth of the Eyes,沒有真理之眼的指引，
the Happyfolk were blind.快樂居民，他們是瞎的。

Falling out of aeroplanes and hiding out in holes 跳機逃離直升機，躲藏在山洞中
Waiting for the sunset to come, people going home 等待黎明的到來，人們要回家了
Jump out from behind them and shoot them in the head 從他們背後暴起，爆他們的頭！
Now everybody's dancing, 那現在所有人都跳起了舞

In time, 就在這時，
the Strangefolk found their way into the higher reaches of the mountain, 怪族人們找到了一條通往山頂的路，
and it was there that they found the caves of unimaginable Sincerity and Beauty.就在這裡他們找到了藏匿寶藏的山洞，那裡裝滿了不可想像的真摯和美好
By chance, 恰好，
they stumbled upon the place where all good souls come to rest. 他們駐腳在所有美好的生靈安息的地方。
The Strangefolk,怪族人，
they coveted the jewels in these caves above all things, 掛滿了從那山洞劫掠來的各種珠寶，
and soon they began to mine the mountain, its rich seam fueling the chaos of their own world. 然後開始挖掘這個山，留下的巨大裂縫填補了他們內心的狂躁。
Meanwhile, 同時，
down in the town, 在小鎮裡，
the Happyfolk slept restlessly, 快樂居民正沉在無休止的熟睡中，
their dreams invaded by shadowy figures digging away at their souls. 他們的夢鄉被身披陰影的東西入侵，掘走著他們的靈魂
Every day,每天，
people would wake and stare at the mountain.人們都會醒來，盯著那座山。
Why was it bringing darkness into their lives? “為什麼它會給我們的生活帶來黑暗啊？”
And as the Strangefolk mined deeper and deeper into the mountain, holes began to appear,怪族人在這山里越挖越深，洞穴開始出現了
bringing with them a cold and bitter wind that chilled the very soul of the Monkey.帶給他們刺骨寒冷的風，這風原來是用來撫平蒙奇躁動的靈魂的。
For the first time, 第一次，
the Happyfolk felt fearful for, 快樂居民們感到害怕了。
they knew that soon the Monkey would stir from its deep sleep. 他們知道不久蒙奇就會自沉睡中驚醒。
Then there came a sound.之後，遠處傳來了一陣聲音
Distant first, 先是很遠，

There were no screams. 沒有驚叫。
There was no time. 沒有時間逃亡。
The mountain called Monkey had spoken. 這名叫“蒙奇”的巨山發話了。
There was only fire.只有烈焰。
And then, nothing. 之後，虛無。
