She travels a moving wait
To find a tune to hum
Nothing flawless
Just something sweet
Before her baby wakes again

She revels at having six
(Now only short of one)
Almost breathless
She fills the week
With songs her baby learns to name

To comfort her needy child

She ambles; no girlish gait
The woman with her son
