We have been travelling for many a year
Our detractors have been left far behind
We have a story that has to be told
Of Jesus and John and mankind
First we must tell you of our story so far
Our part in your tale your part in ours
The token you’ve hidden is just a detail
It joins together to show our way in this tale
The part of the relic in our possession fits neatly
With the part that you hold
See how it glows now, two parts together
Truly a symbol of old
Jesus was a charlatan the miracles dreams and smoke
John was the rightful king of jews the rest were just a joke
While Jesus played, his flocks dismayed
John led the crowd from all around his sincerity portrayed
Now we must follow the way of Johns calling
Forget all that we’ve been told before
Johns word is the story not of hatred but glory
The people so proud need a savior to teach them
We need to explain that John is the person
To make a new future for all
Forget what has been said open your minds
Spread the word to one and all
Time is fleeting the world is changing …….slow so slow
Johns message is prevailing, Nicene tenets are failing…..oh, oh, oh
Our duty is to spread the word
To all that would adhere
Try to stop the falsehoods heard
The fisher of men is here
Change the tale that has endured
To a tale that speaks the truth
That Jesus was a tainted man
Not the offspring of a virgin
