有日個朝晨頭亻厓打早起床要去蹶山
帶著亻厓個水壺面帕還有新做個竹棍
蹶到要死氣懨懨就要蹶到山頂
突然間一條大條個蛇哥對等亻厓颼來

害亻厓一下子沒尬沒煞嚇到命險會收忒
竹棍仔卡到緊緊準備好勢要摎佢驅走
沒想到這條蛇哥一下子颼到亻厓個後背
原來佢也嚇到沒命鑽到亻厓腳唇個孔仔

後來亻厓雖然蹶到山頂毋過亻厓心情當壞
人講一日畀那蛇哥嚇到十年會驚那草繩
遽遽下山去到山下那人多個位所
就驚怕路上又堵到撲等個蛇哥搜出來嚇到

一路上腳步飄飄頭拿暈暈一步做三步走
行到半啷參仔看到樹頂有一隻大隻個鷂婆
亻厓吂識恁近看到恁清楚個一隻大雕仔
沒想到突然間蛇哥個烏陰仔跈等就消失

Get up early to hit the mountain road
With my water bottle, towel, and new bamboo stick
Out of breath, the summit is near
A sudden snake of big size comes into sight
Frightened for my safety, I jolted fast
Bamboo stick held ready to attack
Who knew the beast would slide by my feet
Also frightened for its life into a cave it went
With heavy heart I eventually made it to the mountain's peak
Wisdom has it, 'Once bitten, twice shy.'
Quick to descend the mountain I would try to reach
With lingering fears of encountering another venomous beast
My head was swirling, and my sight was hazy
Just when I saw that eagle on the tree with majesty
Never had I seen a bird its size in close proximity
And immediately forgot my fear of the slithery hostility
Why, snake in my mind
Who tell me why, eagle made it resigned
Pray and recite Amitabha
How swell the big snake is dispelled by an eagle
